Orchard Nursery School
Sleeping Policy
The Orchard Nursery School
is now open for 6 hours and in accordance with Ofsted regulations a chair bed
is provided in a quiet corner/area for children who need to be offered a sleep
in the day time.
Aim
To provide a comfortable
and safe area to sleep.
Objective
To offer assistance with
settling to sleep
To follow any routines
from home
To log any sleeps and
timings for parents.
To check children
regularly if they are resting.
To ensure no child is left
alone in the building whilst resting.
In
addition
Bedding
should consist of pillow and case, sheet and duvet or sheets and blankets.
Clean
bedding will always be available
Bedding
will be laundered after each child has used it.
Children
will be encouraged to rest at certain times if requested by parents to fit in
with normal home routines.
Only
one child per bed!
