Outings

When the Nursery School wishes to take the children on a trip beyond the school grounds the following guidelines must be used.

• Parental permission sought and permission slips signed.
• Risk assessment made of trip and activities
• All children’s contact details to be taken
• Mobile phone to be taken
• If staff cars used insurance checked and backseat child seats used
• Any medication and medication book taken
• Accident book taken
• Change of clothes
• ‘Sick bucket’ and gloves
• Appropriate clothing taken
• Children labelled with Nursery Phone Number
• Ratios of at least 1 adult to 2 children for trips to places outside the local area of Tibberton. For local trips such as walking around Tibberton or visiting local farms, fields and homes or gardens 1 to 4 ratio. Discretion will be used after Risk assessment is completed.
• First Aid box to be taken
