Crisis
management, Emergency and Disaster procedures
This policy will replace
the Closures policy written in 2003.
If you have a copy of this
policy please replace with this one.
Thank you
This Policy covers all
acts of terrorism, epidemics, pandemics, illness, spread of disease both human
and animal, weather or man made phenomena such as snow, flood, fire, high winds
or any other situation where the Nursery may be ‘forced’ to close or cope with
exceptional situations.
Reasons for Closure
The Nursery School aims to
stay open for all advertised session times but may be forced to close due to
the following reasons.
Procedure
If the Nursery school is
unable to open you will be informed by telephone in the morning before the
session starts. A note explaining closure will displayed if possible.
If you wish to call and
ask about closure please telephone 01452 790221
If the School (Tibberton
Primary School) is closed due to adverse weather conditions then it is likely
that the Nursery will be closed too.
If the Nursery is closed
due to any of the circumstances such as above then fees will not be refunded.

Staff
If you are unable to attend Nursery due to
adverse weather conditions or illness please inform Amanda Horniman by 7:30am.
If the Nursery is forced to close due to
the above circumstances or any other unforeseen circumstances for up to two
weeks, then the staff would be continued to be paid, if all fees and
grants have been collected. If the Nursery is shut for longer then Nursery will
not pay staff.
Staff illness will not be paid, as statutory
sick pay will cover illness for this event.
The Nursery will comply with Government requirements in relation to sick
pay.
